If you have not signed up for the Carlsbad Half marathon then come on out to kick off 2011 with AQLife. We will do an easy 30-40 minute walk followed by a 10-15 minute stretch.
More information please email vince@healthfitnessadvisor.com
AQLife had their 2nd event October 30th and although it rained we still had a few super motivated people show up.
Chris Heslin, who is an Exercise Physiologist, Nutritionist and Trainer, educated us about the benefits of interval training, instructed us on how to properly do the intervals, and then had us all take part in demonstrating the different types of intervals.
The session ended with stretching as Chris demonstrated and explained the various stretches to promote recovery.
Although this event did not promote a specific non-profit organization, AQLife encouraged everyone to donate to a San Diego based non-profit organization of their choice, volunteer to help our community or just lend a hand in any way they can for the month of October.
Please enjoy Chris Heslin's article titled "Miximize Your Cardio with Interval training"
Thanks to everyone who particpated and who were so generous with their donations to Elder Help of San Diego, a non-profit organization committed to maintaining our seniors independence.
